Aly was the recipient of three gold medals during the 2012 Olympics, in London. She also brought home a bronze medal on the balance beam. The result made her the Olympic gymnast with the most medals. The year she was in 2016, along with her partner Gabby Doug were among the first Americans to win back-to-back team golds. Additionally, she took home two silver medals, one for the floor exercise as well as individual all-around. Over the period of three years between her two Olympic Games, she went on a break. In addition, she was an athlete on two gold medal winning American gymnastics teams. The event she enjoys the most is the dance on the floor. Her first experience with gymnastics began in the year she turned two years of age.
